Thank you for supporting the lineage. This page explains which entity receives your gift, how it is processed and applied, your tax receipt, and our refund policy.

Which entity receives your gift

Nyidrak International is a network of affiliated entities. The entity that receives your donation depends on the payment method you select at checkout:

  • Donors outside India and Taiwan — your gift is made to Light of Nyingmapa Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, and is received in US dollars into its US bank account.
  • Donors in India — Indian-issued payments are made to Zabsang Choekhorling Monastery, our affiliated Indian entity. Under Indian law (FCRA), this entity is not permitted to accept foreign contributions, so only gifts originating in India are routed to it.
  • Donors in Taiwan — giving is arranged locally through our Taiwan region and received by our Taiwan entity directly; local giving options appear at checkout.

Gifts designated for a center or cause are applied toward the purpose you select, regardless of which entity receives the funds.

Tax deductibility

Light of Nyingmapa Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 93-1587570). Donations from US donors are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; no goods or services are provided in exchange for contributions.

Deductions apply to US taxpayers giving to the US entity. Donors in India giving to Zabsang Choekhorling Monastery receive acknowledgment under Indian law; consult a tax advisor about deductibility in your jurisdiction. Donors in other countries should consult local rules — most cannot claim a US deduction.

Designated gifts

Causes on this site describe specific needs — a monk's tuition, a restoration project, a center's operating fund. We honor your designation and apply your gift to the cause you select. If a cause becomes fully funded, is completed, or becomes impractical to fulfill, remaining or excess contributions are applied where most needed in furtherance of our mission — consistent with standard nonprofit practice.

Gifts to the General Fund are unrestricted and support the greatest needs across the lineage.

Payment processing & security

International gifts are processed by Stripe (which may present Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and local payment methods); gifts from Indian-issued payment methods are processed by Razorpay. Your card or bank details are entered directly on the processor's secure pages — we never see, handle, or store your card number.

Stripe presents amounts in your local currency where available; charges settle in US dollars to Light of Nyingmapa Foundation. Your statement may show a converted amount.

Recurring gifts

Monthly gifts continue until you cancel. You can modify or cancel at any time — use the link in your receipt or email lightofnyingmapa108@gmail.comand we'll take care of it promptly.

Refunds

Donations are charitable gifts and are generally not refundable. However, if you made a gift in error — a duplicate charge, a wrong amount, or a payment you didn't authorize — contact us within 30 days at lightofnyingmapa108@gmail.com and we will refund it. Beyond that window, refund requests are reviewed case by case in coordination with our payment processors.

Receipts & records

You'll receive an email receipt for every gift. If you give monthly, you'll receive a receipt for each charge, and an annual consolidated statement summarizing the year's giving for your records.
